Blue’s Room, a new live-action series, is set to premiere on Friday, January 26th at 10am ET. The setting for Blue’s Room is what one might expect--Blue’s playroom. Unlike the popular preschool series Blue’s Clues, Blue and her brother will be puppets rather than animated, and they will be able to talk to viewers. The show will be focused on helping young children develop reading and language skills, inviting them to “play” along with Blue, Joe, and other friends.
“Blue’s Farm Playdate” will kick off the new series with Blue and her brother visiting Old MacDonald’s Farm and taking care of the animals in his absence. They work hard to complete chores such as collecting eggs, milking the cow, and feeding the pigs before Old MacDonald (played by Joe) returns. Of course, Blue and Sprinkles seek help from the viewers at home as well as a few other puppet friends. Children who want to see the episode again will be able view the full-length episode by visiting NickJr.com.
The first DVD of the new series will be released on January 30. Parents who purchase this DVD for their children will find an upcoming episode of Blue’s Room entitled “Knights of the Snack Table” along with two classic episodes of Blue’s Clues.
