The Hoobs, a hit show in the UK, is coming to PBS Sprout. Check out the "Happy Hooby Marathon" on December 25th to meet The Hoobs--Tula, Groove, Iver, and Roma.

Created by Jim Henson Entertainment, The Hoobs has delighted little ones in the UK since 2000 with its engaging format and has won the approval of parents with its educational theme. Viewers travel with The Hoobs as they explore the universe, asking questions along the way about the people, places, and things they encounter. The information they obtain during their travels is then stored in the “Hoobopaedia” for future generations. Unique characters such as Tula and Groove explore the world in a "Hoobmobile" and often interact with "Tiddlypeeps" (the Hooby word for children).

The Hoobs is an successful program in Europe, complete with plush toys, children’s books, and video games inspired by the show. While I haven’t seen an entire episode, I saw a five minute clip of The Hoobs and am fairly certain my little ones will enjoy the lively music and colorful characters. PBS Sprout will introduce American viewers to the world of The Hoobs on Monday, December 25th. The “Happy Hooby Marathon” will run from 12 until 6pm ET and will be shown again on January 1st.

Beginning the last week in December, look for The Hoobs on PBS Sprout during its regular timeslot--weekdays at 2pm ET.
