For my latest article, I've written about the new Go, Diego, Go Live! show that's set to launch in 2007. Here I talk about whether or not we'll take our kids to see it.

My four year old has liked Dora the Explorer for some time now, but he seems to prefer her cousin’s show, Go, Diego, Go. Maybe it’s because Diego is a boy. Or maybe it’s because of the focus on animals and nature. He loves this show and asks me to record it when he’s too busy too watch.

As a parent, I think the Go, Diego, Go animated series has some really great qualities. My son can learn facts about animals and exercise his thinking skills while having fun. I’ve noticed recently that my almost two year old also seems to enjoy the program while I’ve never really wanted her to watch TV! I find that it’s a bit harder to limit a little one’s TV viewing when you have two children. If her older brother is watching Diego, you can bet that Loralei is right there next to him. However, I’m not terribly worried about it since there’s really no objectionable content or language on the show and the focus is on rescuing animals.

We live in the Orlando area, so it seems like there’s always s show for kids in town! My son went with his cousins to see Dora the Explorer Live! last year and had a blast. We’ll definitely go see Go, Diego, GoLive! because it really is a favorite with our little ones. I know they’ll enjoy seeing the characters come to life on stage.
