Never seen Upside Down Show...is that with the 2 guys with the accent? If it is I love their snippets between shows. ![]()
omg Calliou.....SO annoying but my 3yo seems to be a fan. It's had some issues on that we've gone through so that is nice.
I need to tivo some MSB...I think my boys would like it.
What about Between the Lions...LOVE that show! Once my boys are a little older I hope they like it...not so much right now tho.

David is TOTALLY into the Magic School Bus right now. I DVR it for him everyday. I also just introduced him to Beakman's World. I had no idea it was still on until I discovered it the other day.
As for Calliou, I think people consider him whiney because he's a boy (but is played by a girl). I bet if he was a girl less people would think so.
Calliou is pretty controversial in the mommy world with some loving him while others can't stand the show. I LOVE the show. I like the narrator's commentary because she focuses on feelings and I think this has been good for my son. She often says things like, "Calliou was frustrated when his mommy couldn't take him to the park."
Also, I LOVE his parents and think they're extremely kind and supportive, something you don't always see on children's tv.

I don't allow Sponge Bob in my house, but maybe I need to DVR it so I can write a review. I haven't because I'm pretty sure it would be negative.
What do you like about it?

David was totally into this but now he seems over it! I think it's a wonderful show and have it on my list of shows to review.

Franklin and Little Bear are the best! Glad to hear someone else doesn't care for Caillou. I was letting her watch Arthur and Caillou and started seeing behaviors and words I didn't like- finally zeroed in on the shows.

I admit not having watched SBSP much, but find him rather crass.
Not too long ago we were in store and my daughter picked up a SB book. I made the mistake of telling her it was yucky and we didn't like that sort of thing. So when I suggested a Ballerina book she looked me in the eye and said, it's yucky and I don't like it.

OMG--- you just explained a big life mystery to us. Our daughter started saying she was frustrated and we were so impressed by her vocab- thanks Caillou!

Yeah..a lot of people don't like this show but it's actually a Canadian show that was developed by child psychologists!!!
I love the focus on feelings and the fact that he (as a boy) is allowed to express even negative emotions.
Now Arthur is absolutely HORRID!!! Almost every episode features negative interaction between the siblings as well as teaching/namecalling.
Speaking of which, I'm going to work on an article about shows the feature POSITIVE relationships between siblings like The Berenstain Bears!!
